Google NotebookLM

Google NotebookLM at a glance

Google NotebookLM is a productivity app for turning your own research material into organized notes, summaries, answers, and guided discussions. It suits students, researchers, writers, and anyone working with several documents or reference sources at once. Instead of treating every question as a general web search, it focuses on the material you provide.

Work from your own sources

You can bring related information into one workspace using PDFs, websites, YouTube URLs, and text documents. NotebookLM then helps you review that material through questions and summaries based on the selected sources. Inline citations make it easier to check where an answer came from, which is useful when accuracy and traceability matter.

Read, ask, or listen

The app supports conversational exploration, so you can ask about a document, compare points, or direct attention to a particular subject. It also offers Audio Overviews that turn source material into a podcast-style exchange between AI hosts. That gives users another way to review lengthy notes or research when reading is not convenient.
