Google TV

What Google TV Does

Google TV brings movies and TV episodes from different streaming services into one browsing experience. Instead of checking each app separately, you can search for titles, explore recommendations, and see where a program is available. It suits viewers who use several streaming services and want one place to decide what to watch.

Main Features

• Cross-service discovery: Browse films and episodes grouped by genres, topics, and recommendations across supported services.
• Shared watchlist: Save titles from supported devices and access the same list through your Google account.
• TV remote: Use a phone as a remote for compatible Android TV devices, including a keyboard for text entry.
• Purchases and rentals: Buy or rent selected movies and keep them in your library. Supported titles may also be available for offline viewing.

Who It Suits

This app is a practical fit for households with multiple streaming subscriptions, Android TV hardware, or a large digital movie library. The remote and keyboard tools are useful when navigating a television, while the search and watchlist features are more relevant to people comparing content across services. Availability of providers, titles, and some features can vary by region.
